Vintage PRESTO Extinguisher W/ INDIAN MOTOCYCLE (MOTORCYCLE) Label and Bracket

Description

Vintage brass PRESTO CB fire extinguisher. Manufactured by Merlite Industries, N.Y., N.Y. The extinguisher originally contained Chlorobromethane (CB) but is now EMPTY and is being sold as a collectible item only. It is in overall excellent condition
. It has been machine buffed, hand polished, clear coated and a new INDIAN MOTOCYCLE decal has been applied. Yes, that is the correct spelling of Motorcycle. Indian Motorcycles were originally produced by the Hendee Manufacturing Company from 1901 to 1953. In 1923 the name was changed to the Indian MOTOCYCLE Manufacturing Company and that name remained the same until the company's bankruptcy in 1953.
Also included is a black vinyl coated, felt lined mounting bracket. Measures approx. 5.5"h x 1.5" in diameter.
