These captivatingly fragrant evergreen plants seem to thrive on neglect and are unaffected by cold snaps. While they are basically acid-loving plants, they will generally adapt to a variety of soil conditions. Doing well in both full sun and partial shade, and resisting most insects and disease.
With their dark green waxy foliage and pleasing aroma, Frost Proof Gardenias serve well as a great foundation hedge, for planting near a window or in an entranceway, or as a house plant when grown in a bright location. Blooming prolifically, from mid-spring well into the fall, with velvety long-lasting white flowers that bloom in pairs. These bushy well-branched plants look great pruned or left to grow in their natural state.
