ROYCE 642 AM SSB 40 CHANNEL TRANSCEIVER Powers up - take a look

Hello - first - this is NOT my area of expertise - so -  if stumble
a little - please be easy on me.  Local estate sale find.
ROYCE 642 AM SSB 40 CHANNEL TRANSCEIVER - includes
the original Instruction booklet + box. Also included is the
microphone and clip to hold mike to the unit.
There are 2 YouTube videos on this - but - if you have some basic
knowledge of CB - they are a waste of time.
The heir told me that they had planned on using this in their
farming operation - but - someone died and they sold the farm
to settle the estate.
This was never used. And - it sure looks that way to me - as there
no sign of usage - dust - etc.
The microphone was still in the cellophane wrapper.
I connected the mike and powered it up and keyed the mike.
Photo 4 shows the results.
I went to a local truck stop and bought a antenna to test.
I was able to get music on channel 18 (faintly) - but - I
guess that my dinky 2 foot antenna just can not "pull" traffic
like a normal antenna mounted on a truck or car roof.
