    Description

Rare Folding Pocket Knife with square tip blade is unbranded but has an elephant embossed on the bottom of the blade.  Thought it may be hand made but wooden handle does not appear to be hand made.  Nothing is known about this knife except it appears to be old and unusual.  Have not seen another with an elephant logo.  Complete length is 7 inches, measures 4 inches folded. Would appreciate any information concerning this knife. Have been told that Joseph Tyzack & Son 1842-1919 used elephant signs in knives.  Received additional information on this knife that is thought to be a gardening folding knife made in France in the 19th Century, the elephant is the logo of the Sebatier Theirs Issard Company and the handle is walnut. Rare knife indeed.
