Using knives from my personal collection, I present for the first time, an in depth look at a distinctive style of switchblade made in Frosolone, Italy during the 1920s – 1940s. Contained within the 186 pages, are 15 sections, covering history, design, construction, insightful commentary and more. Additionally,
45 Frosolone switchblades of the era,
both cutler-identified and unidentified are pictured, compared and discussed. I further strive to show how unidentified knives can be assigned to a specific Frosolone cutler or shop with some degree of accuracy.
Overall, an interesting, and helpful reference for all switchblade collectors, experienced as well as novice.
