Antique Vintage Hardball Baseball Softball with Hand Stitched Leather
Here is a vintage old leather softball or hardball that is so old it can’t be dated, only by a museum. It is more than likely from the 1800’s or early 1900’s. It looks to be the same size as a softball would be. Is 4” to 4 ½” in diameter and weighs 9.2 ozs. Also hard as a rock and the stitching looks good. It is the figure eight design and meticulously stitched with none missing. No logo or names that I detected. You can see the strings between the stitching. It is lopsided from being batted, before they started being machine made.
It would be a great conversation and show piece. Would look great in a trophy case.
