Antique Circa 1860's Belt Style Gussett Leather Lemon Peel Era Baseball.
This rare style ball is composed of 3 pieces of leather, 2 round pieces, and one piece that wraps around the equator and meets itself in a belt style seam.
The ball does have several areas of stitching/seam loss with areas of its exposed inner-twine visible.
It features a circumference of 7 inches and weighs a little over an ounce.
A rare style early baseball that given its condition issues is a more affordable example as compared to what this rarities typically command.
