    8 American Chestnut Tree Seeds Hardwood Edible Nut Bearing.
    Just harvested 2022 grown in Ohio USA. The mother tree is a high quality beauty. It produces a strong tree with mid+ sized meaty and flavorful nuts.
    These are in the refrigerator being Cold Stratified as we speak since end of August.
    These native trees produce edible shiny dark brown nuts at maturity and make a wonderful addition to a forest permaculture edible plant landscape. Also they are a great wood source. These don't make a good residential landscape tree because of a hormone the roots secrete and the staining nature of the fleshy fruit on the nuts.
