    Description

This gorgeous knife is really rare.  Knife measures 4 1/8" closed.  The blade is 3 1/2" long.  Blade at the widest is 1 3/8".  It is engraved with the year 1877.  It has the following words engraved on the blade:  NO ME PRESTO NI ME DOY SOLO DE MI DUENO SOY.  Which translates something like the following:  DON'T LOAN OR GIVE ME.  I AM FOR MY MASTER ONLY.  There are some other words but i don't know what they say.  The opposite side of the blade is engraved with plants and flower.  The horn handle has petite floral circular insets on both sides.  There is a circular copper or brass symbol emblem shield medalion with 2 lions and a crown with words.  The opposite side has a circular mother of pearl insert....probably was replaced a time ago.  The front bolster is heavily engraved on both sides.  The last bolster is in a fancy shape design looks somewhat like a seahorse.   Very good artistic form!  There is a decorative piece affixed to the blade.  The blade has been sharpened.  Has filework on top of the blade.  The locking mechanism is a pick lock style.  It works well but is tight!  it has filework on each side of the picklock.  There is a pouch that the knife came in.  Maybe it is made from eel skin...not sure.  The pouch is very old and has some damage.   Please see pictures for details as they are an important part of the description.  Winner must be over 18 years old.  1877 Spanish Folding Clasp Silver? Horn engraved fancy Navaja Knife lion crown. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail Small Flat Rate Box.  I will be listing other great knives!
